RISE has received approval from gematik for the new version of the RISE Highspeed-Konnektors (HSK). With this update, RISE is providing a solution that prepares healthcare providers to use PoPP (Proof of Patient Presence) as soon as it becomes available within the telematics infrastructure (TI).

In the future, PoPP is intended to enable the verification of a care context via a cryptographically secured token. For healthcare providers, this can serve as an important foundation for further digital use cases and secure authorization processes within the TI. Authorized healthcare facilities will eventually be able to access insured individuals’ data from any location and flexibly use TI applications such as the electronic patient record (ePA) or the e-prescription (E-Rezept). This will also make mobile scenarios possible in the future, such as those RISE demonstrated at its booth at the DMEA.

With this approval, the rollout begins, and both RISE TI-Gateway users and institutions that operate the RISE Highspeed-Konnektor in-house will benefit from it.
