Digital healthcare: ePA extension for insured persons at Hallesche
„With the ePA+ functions, we are setting a new standard for private health insurance companies and underlining our claim as a digital healthcare partner to implement innovative solutions in practice at an early stage“
Technology manufacturer RISE, one of the leading providers of services in the telematics infrastructure, offers ePA+, a portfolio to supplement the electronic patient record (ePA) for private health insurers (PKVs). Awarded the UIG seal for user-centered development, it offers patient-centered enhancements for health and prevention management.
Hallesche Krankenversicherung is specifically expanding the ePA with practical functions that make everyday life easier for insured persons. The new ePA+ offering focuses on beneficial additional functions that strengthen efficient healthcare. Insured persons benefit from an overview and automated notification of upcoming check-ups as well as individual vaccination recommendations - based on recognized medical standards of the German healthcare system. This makes the ePA a valuable aid for personal health.
“I am delighted that Hallesche is the first private health insurer to use the ePA+ solution, which we created with a focus on private health insurance. This means that privately insured persons can benefit from further added value in addition to the ePA. This expands our portfolio for private health insurers alongside the solutions and added value that we are implementing together with BITMARCK for statutory health insurers (GKVs). GKVs will also be able to benefit from the advantages of ePA+ in the future,” explains Dr. Christian Schanes, member of the RISE management board.
“The digital transformation in the healthcare sector is a decisive factor for modern and patient-oriented care. With the ePA+ functions, we are setting a new standard for private health insurance companies and underlining our claim as a digital healthcare partner to put innovative solutions into practice at an early stage,” adds Wiltrud Pekarek, member of the Management Board of Hallesche Krankenversicherung.
The provision of ePA+ functions is a logical step towards networked, digitally supported healthcare and shows how digitalization contributes to improving patient care.
